Getting Unstuck
I’ve been feeling a bit stuck lately. I think most people feel that way from time to time. There’s the sensation that things aren’t moving, that life is just happening around you, that you’re enmired in old patterns and beliefs.
Do you recognize this?
It’s true that in order to grow, in order to become more of Who You Truly Are, you must first look at all the parts of yourself that are there, peer into those dark corners and shine light on them so they can be either kept or released, depending on how you choose. But ofttimes looking in these dark places simply reinforces them, reminds you of their limitations, their hold upon you.
And this is when you can feel stuck.
You sense that there is a way through the darkness, a way through those old patterns of belief and behavior. You sense that they are something you’d like to release, something you no longer wish to own. But the problem is, when you become enmired in these patterns, sometimes you can see nothing else. They seem to have a life of their own. After all, they’ve been a part of you for a long time. It’s difficult to release something that has become familiar, even though we know it is not part of our best and truest choices.
This can make you feel rather hopeless, as if nothing will ever change. That actually couldn’t be further from the truth! Not only are we always in a state of transformation, but I find that it is that very feeling, the feeling of knowing there is a different way but feeling as if I can’t quite get there, that signifies that things are indeed about to change.
A good thing to do when you feel like that is to clean house.
Clean house? Absolutely! Here’s why:
- Cleaning moves energy around, which aids in change. You’ll feel like you are accomplishing something rather than feeling a lack of accomplishment.
- Even the phrase “cleaning house” has a symbolic significance and you will be aware of that on a subconscious level, which will in turn aid in the release of what which you no longer wish to own.
- Moving physically can also often aid you in moving to a different space of perception.
- Cleaning is a somewhat mindless activity that frees your thoughts to soar to new places, encouraging creativity.
Ready to get unstuck from whatever old perception you’ve been caught in?
